ANSWER: Telecom services play an important role in the growth and development of a country. These services form the backbone of all business transactions. The following are the various types of telecom services available in any country:
i. Cellular mobile service - It includes voice and non-voice transmission services and data transmission services.
ii. Radio paging service - Information is transmitted in the form of a tone , numeric or alphanumeric message.
iii. Fixed-line service - Fibre optic cables are laid out across the country for transmitting information.
iv. Cable service - It facilitates the transmission of media-related information to a defined area for which a licence has been acquired.
