The Athirappilly Falls, situated in Thrissur district, is largest waterfall in Kerala. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and the Sholayar ranges, it is a popular tourist destination and is nicknamed "The Niagara of India".
